Everyday Bahrain post: I've posted a photo of the Adliya Mosque before but not at this angle. When we first moved here the tall building behind it did not exist. Over the last two years we have watched as men built this small tower by hand. No cranes no heavy machinery, the whole thing by hand. One brick at a time. Mixing cement and hoisting it up in buckets several levels by pulley and rope. I don't think we'll see it open but it's amazing to see how different the skyline looks now. 🏢 Also, it's Ramadan right now and this is the busiest Mosque near our home. During evening prayer they block the roads and lay out purple/blue carpets on the streets to accommodate all the people coming to pray. After the evening prayer there is a huge iftar (post fast meal) served outside on these rugs where hundreds of men sit and eat. I'll try and capture some photos. It's truly spectacular sight. 🕌 Ramadan Kareem ✨✨✨ . . #drakesinbahrain #mybahrainlife #everydaybahrain #adliya (at Adliya, Kingdom of Bahrain)
