today marks the 13 year anniversary of the birmingham hip resurfacing for my right hip joint.  prior to the surgery, i had worn through the cartilage of my right hip joint.  my orthopedic surgeon said it was likely born with a genetic defect which caused that hip joint cartilage to wear out.  the surgery took about 5 hours and i was released from the hospital the next day.  they gave me those cool stockings to wear in the photo above and i used the walker in the photo for a day or so.  i went back to work 13 days after the surgery and was released to resume exercising 6 weeks after surgery.  my hip was in a 10 year FDA study on the efficacy of the birmingham hip resurfacing in the USA.  i am thankful that this hip procedure was available to me because it helped me maintain my activity.

Kazan x reader lemon (part 1)

please read /!\ This story contains flashbacks of Kazan's life before the entity. This story happens in two timelines at the same time. it's the first part. there will be more soon.

"Ah crap here we go again" you thought. Another trial in this stupid realm. This time you and your team spawned in a different place than you used to be. This looked like an old japanese temple. There was bamboo everywhere and some abandonned houses.

You were walking accross the tall grass, looking for a generator to do.

"I wonder who's the killer this time" you whispered to yourself.

You noticed next to the shack a chest. You started to try open it. The padlock was all rusty but easy to break. You found a key inside. This could be usefull.

Suddenly you saw Meg running toward your direction. She was hurt and she was running away from someone or something. You hide in a locker as your heartbeat getting faster and louder as this monstruosity was taking closer to the shack.

Meg was running around the shack as you could hear her steps going on and on. You couldn't escape from the locker for the moment. You were afraid that those stupid crows would fly upside your head.

Hidden, you weren't to see anything. But the killer was here too. You heart was feeling it. Suddenly, you heard Meg screaming of pain. This thing got her. But this thing was looking in the locker next to you. So you jumped out of it before it got you. All you could do was running away and get the pallet down. Meg was crawling away as Claudette and Dwight were healing her. You would serve as a divertion. You were running as fast as you could, feeling the adrenaline in your heart pumping. When you looked back, you could see precisely how the killer was.

It was huge. It was a strong man with a greyish skin and white long hair. He had a kitana and a kanabo in his back. He was dressed like a samurai and had this weird red oni mask on his face.

Your brain stopped for a second. This mask sounded familliar... But where did you see it ?

Finally it seemed like the killer wasn't there anymore. Your heartbeat has stopped. So you stopped running around to catch your breath and you turned back to watch if this huge man turned back to hook Meg or not.

Then, your eyes were facing a weird medallion hold by ropes...

He was here. In front of you with no heart beat.

Paralyzed by fear. You tried to face him with courage. He let his katana down, and he took off his mask. He was kinda difformed, like if  he drowned. But through this, you had a weird feeling growing in you. It was like you knew him. You weren't sure where. But behind his monstruous traits, your mind took deep, deep, in your memory, the face of an old acquaintance. In your mind this face appeared without any greyish lines. And before his name came back to your lips, the Oni said in a deep voice:

"Gaijin ?"
