Morning devotion ran on faith. Time was not part of the liturgy.
The Plane Overhead: When a Routine Flight Becomes a Wake‑Up Call
Every weekday for the last four years I’ve driven to work in Louisville with a kind of background soundtrack: the distant rumble of jets overhead. Whether I’m caught in traffic, merging on I‑264 into I‑65, or simply looking up at the sky as I pass the fairgrounds or the football field at U of L, the planes are there. Like the wind, like the hum of the city: familiar, constant, expected. But then…
Faith isn’t just for big decisions. Learn how to honor God in everyday actions, show kindness, and live with purpose.
Faith shows up in the little things. Discover how to honor God in your daily life — at work, at home, and everywhere in between.
Love Has No Errors: Learning from William Law
Sometimes a quote finds you before you even know its history. I recently came across these words: “Love has no errors, for all errors are the want for love.” It caught my attention. After looking it up, I found it was said by William Law, an 18th-century Church of England priest and Christian writer. Truthfully, I had never heard of him before. But that doesn’t change how much these words spoke…
Hi there!
Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m a 29-year-old mom of four amazing kids, navigating life with a heart full of faith and a desire to grow. I started this blog as a way to document my journey, hold myself accountable, and connect with others who share similar values.
If I’m being honest, self-discipline has always been a challenge for me, and that’s one of the main reasons I wanted to start blogging. Writing gives me a space to reflect, set goals, and hopefully inspire others along the way.
Right now, I’m focusing on a few key areas in my life:
• Strengthening my relationship with God and walking faithfully in His plan.
• Equipping my kids with the tools they need to thrive in life and helping them build their own strong relationships with God.
• Embracing frugality and being a better steward of the blessings I’ve been given.
• Taking steps toward a healthier lifestyle, starting with improving my gut health.
• Rediscovering my love for reading (recommendations are always welcome!).
More than anything, I’m looking forward to connecting with other Christians and moms who are also figuring it all out. Life can be messy and beautiful all at once, and I believe we’re better when we support each other.
Thanks for stopping by—let’s walk this journey together!
With love,
Jes x
