I want to second, third and fourth this recommendation,@timelosserscmbynobsession! This is one of those fics that really resonated with me. It’s so well written and I go back frequently to reread it. I also agree that the gifsets call to mind this wonderful fic. If people haven’t done so alread, read this lovely fic series by @ghostcat3000 and follow this gifset series by @angel-in-new-york-city.
Thank you, @everyforkedroad. You are very kind to me.
The rest of you, of you haven’t already, please check out @everyforkedroad’s CMBYN fic Mise en Abyme. The latest chapter which takes place right at the end of the novel with Oliver’s visit to the villa is full of gorgeous, sweeping romanticism. A worthy read!

Update on my behalf: I have read Pense-bête since my last posting and you all were correct: it is SOOO GOOD. Million thanks @ghostcat3000 for stringing all those words together and creating something magical. (In fact, I read both parts, II and III, on my phone, sitting in different parks all over New York City, so now my favorite places have been imprinted in my mind with this lovely, heartbreaking, yet heartwarming story – which I think is just amazing in itself.) PS. @ghostcat3000 Are parts I or IV available anywhere yet?
Reading this story in various New York City parks is ideal! There’s a lot of New York in these stories. Thanks so much for checking them out.
People have told me they won’t read it because they think it will be sad. For me, these stories are about giving in which, in the context of this series, is something both inevitable and hopeful. As much as I love fuckery, I am a horrible sap and that tends to win the battle every time.
I am currently writing I. Allegro con brio and IV. Finale (yes, Pense-bête is out of order, once you read part I, you’ll understand why the others had to come first) and while I am not the fastest worker, both parts up should be up before the end of summer.

@robazizo, you’re the sweetest.
Thanks to everyone as always for these lovely messages. I cherish them. I am a very slow, very much struggling sort of fic writer, I appreciate all these kudos and comments and reblogs so so much.
