incoming real life verse!

déjà vu’s next real life verse is dropping this weekend! it’s centered around university life at a large, public research university in a college town. playable characters include students, professors, staff, and neighborhood community members, and there are canon housing options that we’ll be revealing in the coming days. at the fictional university of south carolina at charleston, home of the wildcats, you’re guaranteed an experience. the school is considered a public ivy with its well-funded and diverse programs, so academics are solid, but the on campus culture is definitely something you won’t want to miss. football and basketball are the most successful sports for men, volleyball and gymnastics are the most successful sports for women, and the fans are well known for their high attendance rates, tailgates, themes, and cheers. clubs and greek life thrive, and the requirement for freshmen to live on campus is considered pivotal in establishing the community that turns usc-charleston from a school into a home.

mafia aesthetic: orion mahler

at one point orion thought it impossible to have a stable love life with his career–balancing his business responsibilities at pear tech and being a public figurehead of innovation, all while heading a crime ring–but tamar penzag has proven him wrong. she’s really burrowed into his heart these past few years, allowing him to be who he is at his core: a lover. his loyalties lie with the ring, and anyone who has proven allegiance to the group he may as well consider family. family first, always. in that lens, he’s a bleeding heart, but to anyone who threatens orion’s siblings or his closest companions, he is downright dangerous and doesn’t hesitate to play the power cards he holds in his hand. some of his fellow superiors might think it foolish of him to be falling in love and wanting a family outside of the ring members, but in his eyes, what is the point if he cannot pass on the family legacy to his own line? he could always scout a niece or nephew, but it just wouldn’t be the same. the criminal life is not something he envisioned for himself until his grandfather convinced him, “we’re the robin hoods of chicago, orion.” which, to a certain extent, is true, but many of their exploits are for personal gain and the organization is pulling strings in far more places than chicago these days. finally king of two empires, pear technologies and the ring, orion sits virtually untouchable on his throne. now if he can only free his secret girlfriend from her current mob ties, maybe he can live his happy ever after.
