I suspect that Rebecca Front is filming Doctor Who! On Twitter, she has spoken to Ingrid Oliver (saying she has found her account) and a recently announced guest star (who she said it was great to meet). On top of this, she was spotted shopping in Cardiff and has tweeted about how she is away filming. Thought you should know!

Up The Women is coming back as part of the ‘Magna Carta season’, according to Jessica Hynes - early next year. I remember reading January somewhere, but I’m not entirely sure… :)

Well... For the fandom pairings: This could be difficult, but try Rebecca Front characters. So you could include Nicola and Jean, for example. Failing that, The Thick of It. Or both.

I’m gonna try doing them all seperately. One set of just Rebecca characters and then Lewis and TTOI separately though there will be a ton of crossover obvi.

Lewis:IDK? It’s not really that kinda show. I guess Peterson/Innocent or Peterson/Hathaway. Mainly because it would be very pretty and Peterson is a jerky jerk face.

Rebecca: Mr Innocent-as-played-by-Peter-Capaldi-and-not-by-Nathaniel Parker, Sean Bean, or Anthony Head (like I can see why people would want it and I still totes want to see them make out but I just can’t see him as Mr. I. Besides since, Nicola and Jean are already sisters in my head canon, one Peter Capaldi character per fictional universe is already plenty).

Also, Jean/Mr. I with the first name of Richard. I dunno how or why but I feel like the Innocent fandot collectively decided this was his first name, but I just…it’s never stuck for me. And as entertaining as the fic is and as grateful as I am that it exists, the name just didn’t click with me. (My head canon Mr I name is typically Roger, Henry, or John depending on my mood)

Lewis: Lewis/Hathaway–Been trying  very hard for over 4 years to see it romantically and am still trying but it ain’t happenin’ folks.

TTOI: Malcolm/Anyone-But-Nicola; Also Adam/Fergus as in I’m trying very hard to care enough about either of them to ship it.

my favorite threesome / poly ship

Rebecca: Rebecca/Chris Addison/Laurence Fox characters in a rom-com that only exists in my mind and is the best OT3 in creation and just I need it so much.

Lewis: Probs Hathaway/Innocent/Peterson simply because it would be super hot and also because I dislike most of the other threesome combinations for personal reasons.

TTOI: Phil/Ollie/Emma :D

Rebecca:  Even though it’s my ultimate OTP of all time, I actually don’t think I’d ever want Hathaway/Innocent happening outside of fanfiction in part because the tragic unspokenness/barely acted upon nature of the ship is my Achilles heel, in part because of the fact that they are both such rule followers that the unprofessionality would tear them apart and eventually destroy them and in part because of the inevitable bashing that the pairing and Jean in particular would get from the slashers

TTOI: Mannion/Stewart. The crackishness and foe-yay is so delicious and addictive that I genuinely think it would lose a lot of its appeal if it became canon.

Lewis: Hathaway/Innocent–I’ve already convinced myself that he came back to the force pre-S8 for Jean, especially since Robbie’s resigned now and his job is so stressful so why else would he be coming back. *I’m gonna be so disappointed when they have like 2 scenes together the entire series aren’t I?*

TTOI: Malcolm/Nicola. I simply cannot believe that they didn’t find each other after Goolding and have it out and then engage in a perpetual toxic cycle of falling in and out of love and breaking up and then getting back together.

my “settling for second choice” pairing

Rebecca: Jean/Mr I especially she chose him instead of Lestrade

Lewis:Robbie/Laura which I do genuinely really like and ship but will always come in second to Robbie/Val.

TTOI: Probably Malcolm/Sam or Nicola/Jamie but I genuinely do prefer Sam and Malc as friends.

Rebecca: Pretty much everything but mostly Hathocent

Lewis: Hathocent *quiet whimper*

TTOI: Mannion/Stewart and Malcola. Probably more Mannion/Stewart since it’s less prevalent but more Malcola when people start talking smack.

Because I can't decide, I'm going to ask you. Do you prefer Rebecca Front in comedy or drama/other?

I’m going to say comedy because I don’t think she’s gotten a strictly dramatic role yet.  Even in the dramas she’s in, she’s often the comedy relief character.
