Missão Rio! 50 days to go!!!
As I stood in the Grand Halle De La Villette in Paris listening to the Minister of Sport’s speech, during the introduction of the sports and athletes to the gathered audience, I became acutely aware of where I was; the here and now and what will be in just 50 days. I’m part of a team of people; athletes; support staff; and media representing France at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. I am a member of that delegation!
It’s not by chance that I am going to Rio. Much like the athletes I will be photographing; it is the culmination of a lot of hard work and dedication to something I am absolutely passionate about; it’s about the trust that has been put in me and my colleagues; Gregory Picout; Florent Pevrille; Didier Echelard and Marcus Hartmann to photograph our athletes and the Paralympic Games in Rio this September.
In just 50 days we’ll see Paralympique France’s Flag Barer Michael Jeremiasz and all the athletes enter the arena at the opening ceremony of the games! Just 50 days to finish up training and fine tuning their performances before they step on to the biggest sporting stage in the World! Allez Les Bleus!! Nous sommes fiers de vous!!!
