there's always this one person in my critical literary theory assignment group who comes from a conservative background which seems to mean they get slightly frustrated in discussion of these critical frameworks because there aren’t clear answers of yes and no or right and wrong because we’re literally talking about constructed perceptions of reality
and in discussion this week they’re like "so is it good or bad that we can’t think of this thing as objective fact"
and I just want to gently touch their face and go “shhhh everything is constructed and it is all narrative and there are no moral absolutes, i’m sorry we’ve moved out of the conservative comfort zone of polar opposites but PLEASE STOP TRYING TO MAKE EVERYTHING INTO A HARD ANSWER BECAUSE THERE AREN’T ANY AND YOU ARE MAKING ME CRAZY”

Also again I'm gonna question of why is it deemed okay by society when I have a photo of me in a bathing suit but lingerie or underwear isn't even though it may even cover more??? I hate social constructs.
