Sandwich Cookie invited me to hang out so that she could show me the local farmer’s market.

I figured why not since I didn’t really have any other plans this weekend and I’m trying to eat better anyways.

Anyways a lot of the booths were offering free samples, which is awesome, and while I’m trying a bit of nectarine jelly, this little kid comes up “trick-or-treating” to all the booths to get their free samples.

I’m thinking, one, this is adorable, two, it is not Halloween, three, you guys celebrate Halloween here?

The kid runs off and then a few booths later there’s this cute little pie stall set up, and the kid from earlier shows up and asks the lady at the booth to make a pie out of all the samples she’s collected.

I’m like “you can do that?”

and the lady replies in the sweetest southern accent

“Sweetheart, I can pie anything!”

And she gestures to the sign she has on her booth and like. Yeah.

She has some pre-made pies for sale but her whole business model is that cookies can just bring her whatever they want from the market and she’ll make a pie of of the ingredients right then and there.

Decent prices but I didn’t have enough time to get a made-to-order pie so i ended up buying a couple of the premade ones instead. Got a blueberry rhubarb and a smaller pear pie and the flavors were a little unusual but overall they were really yummy.
