About queerbaiting and queer history (and *cough Moftiss cough*)
So I’ve been thinking: you know when people go like ‘stop shoving the gay in our faces’ and not everything’s gay right?’ and ‘oh it must be so weird for straight actors playing gay characters’. I’m sick of it. I’m not even sure about my own sexuality. However looking at the history: when have straight people ever been criticized for their sexuality? Never. Not that I’ve heard of anyway. Please, if you’d ever find proof for a case where someone have been criticized for being straight share it with me. I’d seriously like to know.
So to anyone who have said something like those lines about: people who are gay, bi or anything not straight, is it really that surprising that we demand more than just straight characters in media? Why do we have to suffer?
MOFTISS: PLEASE STOP MAKING FUN OF US. STOP THE QUEERBAITING. You could even make Sherlock a straight show if you wish. JUST STOP THE QUEERBAITING.
Thank you.
