Hi. Hope you are well. I've a very personal question for you. Do you see writing fanfic as a small phase in your life or do you see yourself doing it for the foreseeable future?? Thanks. Have a nice day.
Thanks for the ask.
I've been writing stories for my entire life, practically. I started reading when I was 2. My parents joke that they taught me the alphabet, its sounds, and I was a lost cause after that. By the age of 5, I had made up intricate soap operas and political dramas about my stuffed animals full of secret affairs, runaway teenagers, and bastard pregnancies. By 10, I was writing fan fiction for my favorite video game and I have never stopped.
So I don't think I will ever stop writing fanfic. My interests will change, and so the stories will change, and I would love to finish an original book someday. I haven't finished writing my own story since my first book at the age of fifteen, but I'd love to get more original work done and published, even if it's independently.
If your real question is will I keep writing Harry Potter fanfic, the answer is no. After this AU is done, I'll be publishing Ladybug fanfic and probably Star Wars fanfic and, with any luck, an original work.
