One of the big Eruri fics. There's action, romance, political and social commentary, a bit of sci-fi. A companion is similar to a courtesan or a geisha, loosely based on the companions on Firefly.

Erwin is amazing in this fic. He is cool, calculating, intelligent, inspiring and bit of an enigma but once Levi forcefully enters his life, he truly comes alive. Warnings for violence, death, injuries and homophobic language.

Modern AU. 17 chapters. Eruri. Background Hange x Petra. Office worker Levi. Lawyer Erwin. Hange. Mike. Isabel. Original characters. Four years after their break-up, Levi runs into Erwin at a bar. It's horrible. Levi is still in love with him.

This fic will take you through some pretty intense emotions. Anger, frustration, and sadness just to start with. And it's all worth it. Both Levi and Erwin are traumatized although in Levi it's much more evident. Erwin obsessively runs after Levi. And in turn, Levi runs from him. Levi pushes those who mean the most to him away. Erwin takes his relationships for granted and forgets to take care of Levi and himself. Although they don't make frequent appearances, Hange, Mike and Isabel are amazingly loyal friends. I've lost count of how many times I've read this fic. There are so many ups and downs in their relationship but the ending is worth it.

I wish there is a series of books based on this story. Amazing world building, fantastic action scenes, lots of romantic tension between Erwin and Levi and lovely dragons Glory and Ravenna. Loosely based on the series His Majesty's Dragon.
