The engineering genius Hugh M. Aye makes his (dis)appearance!

Professor Hugh M. Aye is the world's top mechanical engineer. His clever designs have advanced technology several years into the future and put Paradocks on the map.

Being a philanthropist, Hugh uses the money he earns to invest in the art scene of Paradocks. When he’s not working on a new gadget, you can find him in his music room or art gallery.

Hugh is also the husband of May and the father of Yuu. While his work can keep him preoccupied at times, his family is what is most important to him.

After leaving only a mysterious and uncharacteristic note behind, Hugh has not been seen in weeks. With no clues to his whereabouts, his family seeks out help from Paradock’s finest detective - Evi Dents!

The tenacious detective with the best hunches has appeared - it’s Evi Dents!

Evi Dents grew up with a fascination for puzzles, riddles, and all things mystery related. Her interests first manifested in investigating the paranormal and the bizarre. While Evi’s love for the esoteric remained, she found that helping her town solve local mysteries, such as finding missing pets, gave her a great sense of accomplishment.

Now, Evi runs a small detective agency in the seaside city of Paradocks. Wanting to keep her skills sharp and her curiosity satisfied, Evi only accepts strange or unusual cases. Having built up a reputation for herself, she often works alongside Commissioner Warren (much to his chagrin) and the Paradocks police department on unsolved cases. 

After foiling the latest scheme of her long-time rival, Professor Gilbert Thames, Evi is contacted by a distressed son searching for his missing father - the mechanical engineering genius Hugh M. Aye. And thus begins her latest case!

Hey Mischievous friends!

As our first look into the animation of our upcoming game, Evi Dents: Mastermind Detective, we have Evi herself! She has a very kind personality, but don’t let that fool you, she doesn’t put up with shenanigans. This particular sequence is a combination of a few of her possible conversations ingame. We will have many more of these, so be alert!

Remember to stay mischievous! And watch out for that red dot...it can’t be caught, sorry Evi!

Found by Yuu when scrubbing through the home’s security footage. This mysterious figure appeared on the same night that Professor Hugh disappeared. Who, or, what could it be? Could this cloaked figure be behind the disappearance of Hugh?

彼女がママのメイ・アイ？そのとおり！

メイ・アイはヒュー・エム・アイ教授の奥さんで、ユーのお母さんでもあります。ヒューと同じように、彼女もまた業界一の腕を持つ栄養士で、パラドックスの街でも活躍中。

栄養士である傍ら、息子ユーの偏食ぶりには悩ませ続けられていました。そこで発案したのが、母の愛の込もった彼女オリジナルの「ブレインフード」。お菓子のような味ながら、栄養は抜群！ ゲーム内では、パズル開始時にヒントを与えたり、パズルをやり直せることができるようになるスペシャルアイテムとして活躍します！

ヒューとメイは学会の発表などで家を離れることも多いのですが、2人はいつも連絡を取り合う仲です。なので、今回みたいにヒューがメモだけを残してどこかへ出かけることはまずありえない、とメイは最初から思っていました。それからヒューとは連絡がとれない日が続き、メイはユーと一緒にエヴィ・デンツの元へやってきたのです。

Mother May Aye? Yes you may!

May Aye is the wife of Professor Hugh M. Aye and the mother of Yuu. Much like her husband, she is the best in her field and is the leading nutritionist in Paradocks.

While raising a young Yuu, May often had difficulty dealing with his picky eating habits. And with necessity being the mother of all invention, May came up with her patented “brain foods” - food that tastes just like guilty pleasures but with a nutritious kick! In the game, this “brain food” gives Evi special abilities such starting clues and even the ability to re-do puzzles!

While Hugh and May often travel to showcase their latest creations, it’s unusual that the two don’t communicate with each other. May found it very suspicious that Hugh disappeared on a trip leaving behind only a note. With no word back from her beloved husband in weeks, she and Yuu get Detective Evi Dents on the case.
