I think this is what bothered me the most. All the factions were just so unbelievable. To me a dystopian novel has to be believable for me to enjoy.. the way society is in the book has to be feasible and it is just nowhere close with divergent.

EXACTLY.

Let's look at Dauntless briefly. They entrust the overall leadership and the training of new recruits to teenagers and force out the older people who would have the most advanced combat and strategy experience. Because that makes sense.

They risk the loss of new stars within their ranks due to ridiculous and juvenile pranks like jumping across buildings- so dumb. That's not bravery. That's stupidity. Not having barricades anywhere? So ridiculous. It's not brave to have an open chasm to fall through, it's the height of idiocy to risk the loss of any of your people when you need to invest so much time in building up a human to become a weapon. Dauntless would need the most bodies in order to amass an army but they are the ones willingly losing the most. It makes no sense.

Also, you have a militarized society and you are trying to tell me that middle aged, aggressive, bold people who have spent all their lives kicking ass are going to let someone kill off their older family members? That's the least likely society to allow something like that. You get someone bold and aggressive and passionate and they are going to protect their family at all costs.

There's no way any of the factions could really exist. OH not to mention that the Dauntless lose half their initiates to become Factionless- because YES lets show these people our secrets and inner sanctum and then kick them out to make them pissed at us. That's bound to turn out well. 

None of the factions have any sort of thought that was put into them, it's basically like "red yellow blue" and she keeps saying "hahahah you're do blue you must be blue with your one blue trait hahahaha" WHAT

I'm way more for him/Alina than Alina/Mal I generally like him around he makes things more interesting thus far although Mal is being a pouty little bitch now b/c of the Queen thing
