Caden had waited in Scott’s closet all night, waiting from him to come and get comfy.
When Caden was still learning his trade, he was often told that targets let their guard down the most where they slept and did their most intimate activities.
Scott had sat down on the edge of his bed to take his shoes off, perfect.
Caden silently left the closet, cable in both hands. He snuck up on his prey skillfully, he had been trained to be completely silent.
By the time poor Scott could react, Caden had a cable to his neck and a foot pressing down on his back in a swift, precise manner.
He pulled with all his might, coming very close to full on decapitating his target.
Caden eased up, he wanted Scott to die much slower.
Oh how he yearned for this moment.
Once Cyclops was permanently put out of commission, Caden took the knife from his back pocket and one of his calling cards.
He carefully placed the card on Scott’s back and kept it there by stabbing his knife through it and into the corpse.
A knife in the back, how symbolic considering Caden had joined the team to get closer to his prey.
For how long did he have to pretend to want to help people? To be a good person? To hide the monster inside him behind a shy face?
It was over now. All he had to do now was get a picture for his clients and he was on his way. He needed the pay after months of not being able to work while he was undercover.
The assassin got his phone out and began to take pictures of Scott’s lifeless body, not even noticing the door to Scott’s room had been opened by a certain iceman.
