I don't really realize how deep the Patriarchy has sunk it's vile roots into everyday life, so I imagine when cis men like me don't recognize things like that it's like watching a person covered in swarming evil ants say "Yeah I've seen a couple ants, but the ant problem isn't THAT bad." And then they take a sip of their drink that is currently 50% evil ant 50% drink fluid and they drink evil ants.

Ant Man had a disturbing amount of pro-fire ant propaganda like they're little macguyvers or something... ok so that ant raft is very real i’ve seen those monsters float down a river for miles and you cannot drown them either so yeah i guess it was accurate enough. what the movie doesn't show is the little fuckers committing genocide against all their other ant roommates and turning on hank pym in his sleep. fire ants obey no man. trust me if this were an accurate representation of fire ant behavior those assholes would have killed everyone in that movie. then they’d start a little neo-fascist ant movement and take over half the north american continent. OH WAIT they’ve already done that and with global warming they come over closer to my state and i guess the whole point of this rant is... stay vigilant.
