discovered a new type of mobile game popup ad where you open a game and it says it needs to be updated in order to play and when you click the button thats supposed to take you to the page to update it it takes you to the page for a completely unrelated game that costs 20 dollars to trick you into instinctively clicking it because you thought it was the update button. and theres also nothing on the screen that makes it obvious its an ad. so basically i think all advertisers should die violently

#what makes it worse is i specifically encountered this when i was helping a kid download a game that was very obviously targeted at children #and i imagine a little kid may not recognize it as a scam so quickly #evil behavior
