I’m thinking the Firewall’s Malware AU might have multiple endings. Like the Good Ending. The Bad Ending (I want you to cry). Maybe a few joke endings (Campbell from Moon and Sun Minecraft cameo??? /j)
However, that also brings about another question…
Should I Move the Fanfiction to AO3 or Keep It on Tumblr?
Move the fanfiction. It’ll get more traction and will be easier to write.
Keep it on Tumblr and tag each part respectively. You’re more used to it.
Crossover Rambling
Here’s just some rambling about a crossover from @bittyfromquotev’s MCAU and my FWAU (firewall’s malware AU).
Onyx, taking notes from Solstice, wouldn’t want his “family” to know that he was the one behind their suffering. He might even use the wires keeping him together to seem like rogue ones that wrap around an animatronic, crush their metal casing, and kill them by squeezing like a boa constrictor. He can make his voice sound like almost anyone, so he would torture the family with who they’re scared of before ending them off and leaving them none the wiser that he was behind it. He would probably ask Solstice to mimic the voices for the people he can’t replicate (characters voiced by Sun’s VA).
He would definitely try to sneak around the meeting place he and Solstice visit to figure out Solstice’s true intentions. He would also do research on star power and try to make a star that works in every dimension in case Solstice betrays him. He’s very skeptical, as you can tell (before he turned evil in this AU, he heard Moon mentioning taking away his budding sentience on several occasions. This made him very cautious of people and realize that there are very few he can trust, if anyone at all).
Some part of him would look up to Solstice. That’s the part that would keep him working with the solar animatronic, actually. The part that ignores his caution and lack of trust. He knows the Solstice can help him, but he doesn’t know what the cost is. Onyx admires MCAU Sun because he did what Onyx wanted to do: get revenge. The evil computer wants revenge so badly and thinks that Solstice can help him get it. His somewhat hidden admiration might also make him forget that everything comes at a price…
Onyx doesn’t want to be treated like a tool anymore, but that might still inevitably happen without him realizing it depending on what Solstice’s intentions are :)

do you think EC would be a bit more lenient with Sun and Lunar if they weren’t trying to fix him for a bet and were just… trying to get the guy back up and running?
If that were fact, probably not. The computer knows that they don’t know code but tried to “fix” him anyway. And that “fixing” caused him pain. In his eyes, they tried to hurt him on purpose and experiment on him without caring about what would happen while disguising it as fixing him. I don’t think his opinion would change.
So basically EC is so drowned in rage that he wouldn’t see Sun and Lunar’s good intentions?
Indeed. At this point in his sentience, the only emotion he can feel is anger (which will change later in the story…).

Moon’s Computer (Onyx) is sick of his so-called family. He’s nothing but a tool in their eyes even though he does everything for them. Moon and Solar didn’t want to fix him when he was broken. Sun and Lunar made him worse. As his sentience grows, one emotion is the most prevalent: anger. He’ll show them. He’ll show all of them just who they’re working with. Who they’re underestimating. And they won’t make it out alive.
