The Bad Ending
I'm so, so sorry...This is all my fault...I never meant for any of this to happen...
You were my best friend....My ONLY friend.
"The hell are you doing, Jinx?! Put me down!!"
"What is this pose? What the heck are you doing?"
"Draw me like one of your French girls, Link."
"What's a French girl?!"
And then I ruined everything.
"SO YOU'VE BEEN LYING TO ME THIS WHOLE TIME?! YOU'RE THE REASON VEIL'S GONE PSYCHO, YOU'RE THE REASON THE HEROES ARE ALL DEAD NOW!!" Jinx's voice cracked under the strain, tears falling down his cheeks as he stared wide-eyed at the Skull Kid. The putrid black and red Malice creeped farther up his face.
DJ chuckled, his violet hair throwing shadows over his face. Emerald eyes glinted at him, manic amusement crossing his features. Aphrodite stared down at the duo, her fairies having hidden themselves around the fountain by now, fearful of the tragedies to come.
"Oh...Jinx....You knew from the start what would happen. You wanted to see what would happen as much as I did. You cannot defeat me now. Malice has taken your body....all I have to do..." He raises his arms, as Aphrodite reaches from the fountain behind him, and picks him up, settling him in her palm.
"...Is wait for you to kill everyone you ever cared about."
I'm sorry for forcing this sacrifice on you...
Blood splattered across Link's face, their tears mixing with it. The Master Sword's blood-covered blade still seemed to glow in the light of the blazing sky. A gentle hand pressed against their cheek, last breathes falling from Jinx's mouth.
Put an end to all of this.
Link's body shook with sobs as they stepped back from Jinx, the Master Sword in their hands once more.
"Poor Farore...Lost your little friend didn't you? You've lost all your friends now..." DJ's low voice chuckled from a few feet away. Link continued to stumble backwards, tripping and falling to the ground.
DJ stepped forward, looking down fondly at Jinx's body. He pressed a bare, wooden toe to Jinx's cheek.
"You know, he was a sweet kid. Broken.... scared... naive."
DJ looks back at Link, a razor-edged smile gracing his features. His foot pressed flat on Jinx's face, before he shoved it down, his skull making a wet crunch as DJ smashed it into the ground. Malice poured out of it and onto the ground. DJ pulled his foot away, wiping the black and red substance off on the body's sweater.
"And now....he's nothing but a Malice-filled corpse. A failure."
"Fuck you, DJ."
"Oohhh~ I'd watch my tongue if I were you, hero."
"You are not going to win this, DJ. We will stop you. I...will stop you." Link scrambled to stand, holding the Master Sword up in a shaky hand.
"And how do you think you're going to do that?"
"We still have the goddess. You can't beat Hylia. Villains always get the bad ending."
"Oh can I?" He smiles, and Link's face falls as they feel the ground shake. "Because while you were dealing with your dying friend....I went to check on your lovely goddess.... Seems she made the mistake of letting her doubts take hold of her mind for just a little too long."
Link whipped their head back, fear engulfing their body at the sight before them.
"Say hello, Link."

Hey guess what I did : D
I made a Bad End AU for 10L, and my 10L peeps have been going nuts over it. So I decided to do something great.
The first parts are all a reference to a lovely comic @hyliagirl42 made and posted in the Bad End AU chats on both the 10L server and the HB server. The "Bride of Demise" is a reference to the Blighted form of Hylia that @empress-elizabeth made.
If she pops up, its GAME OVER.
