Dream of the Evil Gnomes
i got pretty bored and stayed up most of the night after a nap so i decided to write on a song thats often attributed to evil gnomes and why i think it belongs to them. short and stupid, hope it helps someone.
a lot of debate has gone on in regards to the song "Мечта Злых Гномов". this song translates to "The Dream of the Evil Gnomes" and people often question on if this song was created by Злые Гномы or not.
Who is Злые Гномы?
likely most of you know, but i feel like talking. Злые Гномы (Evil Gnomes) was the first band created by the academy maniacs, Artyom Anoufriev and Nikita Lytkin. the pair killed 6 people in Irkutsk, Russia from 2010-2011. Around 2008, the boys began this band. The band had several albums. A few albums are Черные полосы крови (Black Lines of Blood), PMHI, and Punkzone 18. Later on, the group would break up and the members would go on to other musical journeys such as Расчлененная пугачова (Dismembered PugachOva) and the JeKKa666 Corpse Spirit group. Злые Гномы and Расчлененная пугачова were both signed to POPSAKAL Records.
Recently, the song Мечта Злых Гномов has been floating around.
First glance, not their song. Sung by a girl, sounds nothing like other songs they made. Чикатило is a good example of an evil gnomes song that sounds nothing like this one. This song is very odd, it isnt anything like the other music. So why is the song credited to them? Its simple, because it is most likely made by them.
(Yes. Чикатило is an Evil Gnomes song. It is not Dismembered Pugachova.)
First reason: they used voice affects.
They used these in the past for other songs. The song below Нашествие (Invasion) is an example of voice effects being used within their music.
Second Reason: The Dismembered PugachOva Archive.
After the Academy Maniacs arrest (See my Academy Maniacs infopost for more information), the record label created tribute albums for the pair. After the fact, MyDuck666 (Owner of Popsakal records) would post an archive for all of the music created by the pair. Within the archive there was a song titled mechta zlhy gnomov. This is the pronunciation of Мечта Злых Гномов.
when you download the song, it is 100% Мечта. The archive is from a friend of the pair, who had access to all of their music, even stuff that was not released to the general public at the time. i think id trust MyDuck666 on this one.
i then saw a comment under a video of the song, where someone claims the song was titled "Первый среди пафосных" or "The First Among the Pretentious Ones". This search lead nowhere. no clue what they were talking about there.
