It does look awfully rushed but Im getting tired and I wanted to spit out this more evil freeman idea? its very basic and not as cool as the combine ones but Im kinda interested in how we're never really given clear view on why Gordon should care. obv a lot is all about silly little player projection but you know I hope you get where Im coming from.

Just Barney being head over heels excited to see Gordon and all, his best friend (or more) from Black Mesa, but Gordon, having gone through all the Black Mesa shit and chaos literally minutes before stasis, just doesn’t care in the moment to see Barney, he’s just too fucking overwhelmed and tired and waves Barney off. Why should he care to see Barney anyways when they’re just telling him he has to do it all over again, with no regards that he literally just did all this in Black Mesa?

Anyways your evil Gordon art has made me go brrr big brain storming time

Evil Gordon just snapping at Barney-

Just Barney revealing he was concerned that if Gordon ever made it out alive, since the last time Barney saw him was being dragged away by soldiers, and this just strikes a nerve with Gordon

“Oh so you saw me but didn’t help?”

“W-well I couldn’t Gordon, I was only there briefly before bein’ teleported back, it was impossible to-“

“Barney, this whole MISSION is impossible!! You all have me running around, doing shit that was impossible beforehand and since I’m some ‘savior’, I have to do it all? I have to save you all, is that right? But what about me, huh? Nobody’s saved me when I’m in trouble, I always gotta figure it out and then I’m expected to save everyone else!!”

I think it's interesting to have the whole thing be he's become 'evil' by so much intense pressure and being barely out of colleague then thrown into everything he just kinda has to become his worth self to cope
