1. How do they move and carry themselves? Pace, rhythm, gestures, energy?
Pyrrha’s posture and demeanor tends to be very closed off and to herself at first glance. She usually keeps her hands to herself, or presses them close to together against her chest, or hides them behind her shield. In fact, there are times where she tends to hide herself behind her shield out of habit. That’s very easy to do since the Elk Shield is so damn big. It can cover most of Pyrrha’s – and perhaps also Sophitia’s to an extent – upper body, which is awesome for defending herself, but also very easy to hide herself.
Her posture, when she’s not so mindful about being polite, isn’t very straight. She tends to hunch her back slightly, and she isn’t aware of it most of them time unless someone tells her to straighten her back. As for gestures and stuff, if her body language isn’t so closed and hidden, she does tend to fidget her fingers out of nervousness. Overall, it shows a very restrained and nervous energy and there is really no confidence behind it, as befits her and how she is normally.
She embraces that posture when she turns into Omega, like she is very hunched over. Her movements here are very erratic and extreme. While normal Pyrrha has a very nervous and frightened air about her, her movements in a normal setting are rather steady. Omega? It varies. Sometimes her movements are very slow, from her glances to her footsteps. And she tends to… tilt a lot? Like, if you watch her walk towards Patroklos or Soul Edge, she tends to tilt her body sometimes. And even when she doesn’t, something is always moving. Always. Her hands may be flexing, her head may be swaying. There’s always something idly moving when she goes slow. But going back to what I’ve said before, Omega’s movements vary. She can go from 0 to 100 real fast. Just as she can go really slow, she can also go really fast – almost like she’s always charging ahead. Not just moving forward, charging. It makes her violent moves a bit more daunting because it looks like she’s charging at you with no restraint whatsoever.
Think of it like this: Normal Pyrrha is a small flame with the potential to either warm or burn. Pyrrha Omega is a wildfire burning everything in her path.
I think that Post-Game Pyrrha slowly becomes more confident and open with herself, but she does tend to hold back because of her insecurities with her arm and what it symbolizes. She does get better with that habit post-game though. Pyrrha does train herself to get into the habit of a more open and confident body language – but not without much difficultly to crack those habits.
7. How do they physically engage with other people, inanimate objects, and their environment? What causes the differences between these?
Pyrrha’s physical interactions with both people and objects are very gentle and delicate. She doesn’t handle things roughly or snatch objects with a quickness, no. She never wants to be careless with things, so she tries to be careful in her interactions as much as she can. This is especially true in handling inanimate objects, because there’s always a slight fear in her head that she’s going to break something. And she really doesn’t want to break another person’s things and start an endless onslaught of apologies, so she tries to be careful when handling objects.
Physical interactions with people are also a very careful step that she makes. Pyrrha is often tactful and considerate of other’s preferences, and that includes whether or not they’d want to be touched. Considering Pyrrha’s shy and reserved tendencies towards people, it’s safe to assume that she doesn’t usually initiate physical contact? That’s usually towards the other person to initiate. She’s more likely to touch your shoulder or hold on to your arm if she’s somewhat familiar with you. But her touch is never rough or forceful, so you’d never really have to worry about her accidentally hurting you. The only time that I could think of that would actually apply pressure would be if she’s clinging to you. Her clinging can sometimes be… a little tight, and half the time she doesn’t realize that she’s doing it. So if you point it out to her, then she’ll stop.
9. How do they manifest energy, exhaustion, tension, or other strong emotions?
Strong emotions are always exuded by an all time high. Pyrrha wears her heart on her sleeve, and she can’t really hide her emotions very well. Her stronger emotions are always exuded with such a high energy that Pyrrha tends to exhaust herself sometimes. Her energy and emotions were always exuded with an extremeness, passionately so. Even when she tries to be calm, it takes a lot of effort on her part to be and stay that way.
Part of what makes Pyrrha Omega powerful is that Pyrrha’s strong emotions – namely fear, sadness and rage – are amplified. An already emotional girl whose more violent emotions are amplified by the power of a cursed sword would be a hurricane in human form. It doesn’t just turn -off- for her, her emotions and energy are strong and obvious, even when she doesn’t want them to be.
