Evil Dead 4 Starts Filming This Year – The #EvilDead star Bruce Campbell is producing The Hole in the Ground director Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise. And today, Campbell revealed the new film will begin filming in New Zealand later this year. – #BruceCampbell, who starred as the iconic Ash Williams in Sam Raimi's Evil Dead trilogy, revealed that Evil Dead Rise will start shooting this year. The original 1981 Evil Dead was a low budget horror film written and directed by Raimi. The film followed a group of teens heading for a short vacation in a remote cabin. The kids end up inadvertently summoning an army of Deadites, ancient demons that can possess the living. – #EvilDead4 is also expected to take the franchise in some exciting new directions, focusing less on a remote wilderness refuge and unleashing Deadites and the Necronomicon's powers in a more urban setting. – Campbell revealed that #EvilDeadRise is set to begin filming later this year.
