Escape.... (Origin, part 1)

The alarms were wailing through out the now silent lab. Silent as the tomb it has become this night.... Scarlet, everywhere. A thick smell of blood and something stale floating in the air like a grim reminder of the 13 year old's actions. The first murder.... Cain felt his heart beating in his throat, making him dizzy. Making his ears ring with a heavy white noise. It had all happened so fast, so loud..... Like an explostion of pure chaos and rage... He could barely recall it all. The screams, the rush, the anger. All he knew is that they had to get out of there! They had been there for far too long, and it was getting unbearable!

Abel (Oh, sweet Abel) stood behind him, he could sense him there, staring at Cain's back. Maybe he was shaking in fear, he had to be. None of them knew they could do this, that their powers were that gruesome. Cain had torn through the guards and scientists like they were made out of papar, it was too easy. Maybe it was because of his rage, he was more willing to believe that than in his so-called "godly powers".

"....Cain?..... Onii?"

Abel's voice was weak, but Cain heard it over the sound of his ears ringing, if only barely. He didn't hesitate, he grabbed his brother's hand and began to run. He didn't know where to, but it didn't matter. They just had to run.......Run......Run!

.....Run....

.....

Cain gasped as he sat up from his bed, his heart threatning to beat out of his chest as the dream had awoken something in him. Something he thought he sorted years ago. The sound of the Tower of Null's gears turning helped ground him once more, calming his racing heart and mind.

It was a dream of a memory. One that seemed so far away, yet not at all. He knew why he kept thinking back, he knew what was wrong with him. But he had to keep going, keep trying. The story of Evil may never end, but it shall be given a new and better narrative. At least, he hoped so.....

"Ah....... 'if' we are indeed the Gods of this world.... What does that truly mean in the end?"
