want to make a comic but discovered that I am not good at drawing. It was gonna be a “hero” comic that followed an alien that arrived on earth to track down the final member of the invasion party that killed thousands of her kind, including her sister. she’d discover he had become a hero on earth and decide to become a hero herself so when she killed him earth wasn’t left without protection. Oh yeah, and it lays heavy into Greek mythology.
She’d be from a race of aliens called Sirens. Sirens receive blessings from gods or goddesses to be able to use fantastical abilities, and must keep their patron happy with them or else they risk losing the bond.
Sirens would also be bird like humanoids that can disguise themselves as other races with enough power. The main character would be based off a Stymphalian bird (I haven’t decided if her patron will be Ares or Hecate) while her sister would be based off a swan (as she was a prophet of Apollo).
The main character would have fought in the war defending her home, lying about her age to do so. The trauma from being a soldier and all the violence she saw and committed would be key parts of her character and would influence her actions and mindset throughout the story.
Years after the war, she was sent off on missions to track down the remaining invaders and kill them. While on these missions, she had accidentally destroyed societies by killing the “hidden” invader which causes her to be more careful on earth.
oh yeah and the mc doesn’t have a name yet, but her sister’s name is Daphne.
Trying to figure out the anatomy has been frustrating, especially since I forgot to pack an eraser. So I’m kinda just hoping things turn out okay after sketching it out.
First image is anatomy of a female siren, second is how Daphne’s eyes would look when receiving a prophecy, third is a feather that’s making me consider if I want to scrap the siren idea, fourth is an attempt to make birdlike legs, fifth is attempting to make the mc’s head look humanoid while incorporating Stymphalian traits and trying to see if hair would look bad
