Enid was a cheerleader, an honor student, a friendly face, and secretly a mutant. A select few knew that, and she planned to keep it that way by drawing the least amount of suspicion to her. That included doing student politic stuff like being the welcoming committee to new students.
It wasn’t that she didn’t like welcoming new people to Bayville High. No, it wasn’t that at all. It was the fact she had been able to detect a certain few’s thoughts, and the new student was someone who was to be associated with the brotherhood. Why was the brotherhood expanding again after all this time? Who was this person? What was their mutation? She couldn’t help the curious thoughts from swarming.
She was saved from getting too distracted, when Principal Darkholme called her in. She smiled politely, putting on her friendliest smile, acting like she hadn’t been thinking quite heavily on the student only moments before. She saw dark brown hair. A girl. Principal Darkholme introduced her, and told them to go on their tour. Enid nodded and turned to greet the girl with a handshake and a bright smile.
“Hi, welcome to Bayville! I’m Enid, nice to meet—“ she faltered a moment, confusion settling at the girl’s appearance. She was quick to try and recover. “...you. Uh, what’s your name?”
