I just purchased an adobe suite and with it, photoshop (and the premiere pro I used to edit this video lol). I decided to christen the suite by taking an old drawing I'd made when I was like 10 and giving it another go after years more practise and learning! Here we have the Patriarch, I can't remember the history of it but I do recall that was around when I found one of my biggest inspirations; Extra-Vertebrae (you can find them on twitter) so it was likely a demon of some kind. This is the longest I've spent on a piece of art in a long time, this took roughly 2 hours in total from blank page to what we have here. I'm likely not done with this and will probably clean up the lineart of perhaps colour/paint the creature to be more spectacular (I'll for sure at least do some good shading).

Thanks to a recent boost in my art-skills, I’ve finally found enough confidence in my ability to replicate the DD style to start trying my hand at mods!
In case you couldn’t tell by the name, this little guy is a hero class inspired by the Devilbirds of Mortasheen. One of my favourite aspects of Mortasheen is the many unique classes of monster that inhabit is (much more than just the generic genetic hybrid or zombie) and the devilbirds are one of them!
The Devilbirds were created by an old civilization to punish bad behaviors, and the Devil Bird is a homunculus built by a long-dead sect of the holy church to punish unholy creatures with their psychic powers.
