some of yall out here acting like trans men & trans women have nothing in common & aren't allowed to relate to each other whatsoever.
it's the same "boys go to Jupiter to get more stupider. Girls go to college to get more knowledge" bull shit from grade school.
Anyway, if ur trans, what's one thing u do that's typically considered a trait of the "opposite" trans experience.
aka if ur trans femme, what's one "trans masc" thing you do/feel/experience, and vice versa?
(feel free to answer if ur any kind of gender queer, non-conforming, intersex, etc.)
i dont pass at all, or on the rare occasions i do, it's a "could go either way" thing. However, my voice is very deep, so it outs me as trans (whether ppl see me as a trans women or man depends of the person). This means im hesitant to speak sometimes if i feel my voice outing me will put me in danger or create a negative situation. I relate a lot to trans women and their anxiety around their voice outing them and potentially putting them in danger.
another example i heard from a transfemme on reddit was how she was on HRT but didn't tell anyone yet, so to avoid questions and outing herself, she had to hide her titties via the classic trans masc strategy of baggy clothes and hoodie.
We aren't opposites. We are trans. Anyone who tries to sell you on the idea that one side has it easier than the other is a grifter.
