EASTERN VISAYAS STATE UNIVERSITY

The Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU; Filipino: Pamantasang Pampamahalaan ng Silangang Visayas; Waray: Unibersidad han Sinirangan Bisayas) is a regional state higher education institution in Tacloban City, Philippines. It is the oldest higher educational institution in the Eastern Visayas region. It is mandated to provide advanced education, higher technological, professional instruction and training in trade, fishery, agriculture, forestry, science, education, commerce, architecture, engineering, and related courses. It is also mandated to undertake research and extension services, and provide progressive leadership in its area of specialization. Its main campus is in Tacloban.

THIS IS ONLY WHAT I FEEL ABOUT MY SCHOOL SO IF IT OFFENDS YOU PLEASE DON’T CONTINUE READING IT.

One thing I don’t like about our university is how some or even most of the profs and instructors don’t even put value into teaching their students. I mean, come on, our school is already a state university and you still have to be such lousy teachers? I do know that our instructors have great capabilities in teaching and have a wide array of information loaded in their heads but making a student wait for hours IN THE CAMPUS for you and you won’t actually show up? There’s this thing called communication. Try communicating with your students if you can’t make it the day before your class or at least 2 hours before your class. Leaving your students hanging is not very professional at all. I’ve been experiencing this lately and it’s not a good habit for instructors. And here’s another one, when the student is late, they close the door and you’re marked as absent. The same thing should happen with profs, if they’re late for 30 minutes or more without any of the students know why, then we should get the privilege to actually leave class. Come on Maam/sir, we also value time. And here’s another one!! this one is really annoying. It’s funny how the teacher doesn’t come into class for a few consecutive meetings and blames the students for being behind in the subject!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELLOO WE’RE ALWAYS HERE WAITING FOR YOU TO COME BUT NO APPARENTLY YOU DECIDED TO NOT SHOW UP. Seriously, if the students only know how much authority and power we hold, instructors like them should be scrutinized.
