He thought he’d gotten good enough at compensating for his lack of sight to actually venture out on his own for a change and to his credit, despite his uneasiness at being out beyond his usual little haunts and venturing further than his brief little jaunts, he’d actually done pretty damn well for himself that day.
He was in a good enough mood as a result that when he accidentally rubbed shoulders with someone passing on his blind side, it didn’t dampen his mood too much.
His ears did flatten into his hair though and he jerked away from the poor person he’d brushed against (not quite having bumped into her but definitely having made contact) as if he’d been burned.
“Ah, I’m so sorry,” he apologised quickly, hands up in a placating gesture. “Didn’t mean to bump you like that...”
