The Golden Deer.
When the concept of the three separate houses had been explained to Mitama, it had been evident from the get go that the Golden Deer was the only house worth noting. After all, while noble, lions were plagued with pride and its resulting downfall, and eagles just seemed like the class of hunting brutes. Neither possessed the kind of dignity that an artist like Mitama had hoped for.
Deer though, that was a creature worth admiring. Gentle yet regal, refined yet approachable. It had taken very little thought for her to decided that that was the house best suited for her purposes.
She was so incredibly disappointed the first time she met her classmates.
Rowdy. Loud. The faculty at this establishment expected this to be any kind of productive learning environment? Mitama arrived only to find her classmates loud, talkative, disruptive, inane, intolerable...
So she had simply left her class for the day. She had far better potential usage of her time than sitting around and waiting for her her classmates to destroy her hearing.
...such as sitting on the dock and feeding the ducks that waded in the water below.
Mitama sighed to herself. Well, her low expectations had already been disappointed, but she could find relief in the beautiful views that she now had access to.
...until she heard someone walk up behind her. Her next sigh was agitated. “If you have come by to tell me I must return to my class, I will insist that you find me a class worth returning to.”
