i went around my yard today and picked a bucket of dandelion leaves to dry. i’ll be planting an herb garden soon and figured i should test my drying methods on something a bit more free first. i have a whole table in my basement covered in drying dandelion leaves now. it’s silly, but i had so much fun washing them off and laying them out. i hope this all works out; i’m even more excited for my herbs now than i was before!

garden update

i checked in on my drying dandelions today. the smaller leaves are already small and crispy, but it’ll probably take a full three days to get them jarred. the next thing i need to invest in is a mortar and pestle!

i bought my herbs for my serious garden today! i’ll have to wait a bit to plant them; i don’t have all the dirt i need. i got various varieties of basil, mint, lavender, dill, thyme, rosemary, and sage. i plan to label all of them, and the various flowers/ground cover plants i got with little sigils on the garden stakes.

i picked more dandelions today and decided to experiment with drying them in the oven. our oven only goes as low as 170 degrees (fahrenheit) so i watched them closely to make sure everything was going well. overall i’m satisfied with the oven-drying method though and i think that’s how i’ll dry my garden herbs in the future.

i went searching for a chamomile plant and a gargoyle today, but couldn't find any no matter where i looked. i did pick up a new houseplant, though, so it wasn't for naught. meet my new fern friend!

i had a little craft day today🔮

i've been interested in pendulum readings since they were first brought to my attention. today i made a few for myself as a first step to learning what the fuck i'm doing. i've actually already tried a few readings with a makeshift pendulum before (a crystal tied with the ribbon i usually use to bind my tarot decks), and i enjoyed that enough.

i also decided to toss in this little goat i made today as well. his name is cecil.

i’m contemplating starting a kofi for tips, but i’m also afraid that i may not be experienced enough to request money for readings? i’m not asking for upfront payment or anything, simply gratuities if what i said resonated with you. would this be worth my time?

additionally, i recently interviewed my decks, and if i wrote up short profiles on each of them, it would make picking a deck for individual readings perhaps easier for you guys. would that be useful?

finally, i’ve decided to begin practicing charm casting, as it resonates very strongly with me. would you be interested in charm readings, both on their own and in support of cards?
