It was the first time he saw her naked did it strike him she was more broken than she had ever let on.
Freckled shoulders, deep, old scars, and bruises, almost fresh; sub-permanent.
"What on earth happened to you?"
Evan had turned to face him. He had stopped in the door way of her bedroom, and for a brief moment, she turned red from embarrassment but didn't dare turn away.
She smiled and shook her head.
"It's nothing important." And he gave a harsh scoff.
"You shouldn't have to worry about me..." Her voice caved, and she turned, seeing that her physical appearance bothered him enough to get frustrated at something that was none of his business.
"Evan..." Her name gave plea; he reached out to her, the warmth of her shoulder making him crave more of her.
"Loki..." Her golden hair fell to cloud her face and she reached for her shirt.
When she felt his fingers brush through her tresses, she could do nothing but accept the fact that he was willing to fight, to hurt someone that had hurt her, and put them in a state of fear. She leaned into his chest and cried there; that was all she could do as he told her this.He wrapped his arms around her as he silently plotted.
He would destroy any other person who dare lay a hand on her again, and with promise it would NEVER happen again.
