I haven’t named the band yet but the singer is a young lady who’s stage name is Crimson. Their genre is like a dark jazz, idk the exact name but her songs are more of the slow vaugly murdery type sonGs, thing “the red means I love you” or “the dismemberment song” that sorta catharsis stuff.

I’m going with the theme of how the music industry pushes a toxic sex appeal thing especially with younger artists, she’s 19 but she’d rather not dress like you know. T h a t.

Her aesthetic atm is like gothic vampire queen but Idealy she’d rather go with cute yet spooky goth vampire princess, but she doesn’t have the backbone to inform her manager or her band of this so she’s just slowly getting more and more stressed and uncomfortable.

At least off stage she gets to be more true to herself, soft shy and loves comfy clothes. Also her real name is Ruby

Speaking of the band…. Do they look familiar? They should because it’s the old members of Ex Jay! Ruby’s manager recruited them after their band split up because the EDM dip, and since jazz is sorta like rock but more swing they were fine with being a jazz band for this young up and coming artist.

    Meet Dire Stakes, Formerly Ex-Jay, a band that’s been climbing up the charts ever since their year break and rebranding. This spooky band of friends has risen from the grave, and they’re here to give you a performance that will chill you to the core.

    Sourced in Akusuka District, Dire stakes specializes in Gothic Rock and Metal... With the twist being that most of their music is entirely acapella. How did they go from a visual kei rock band to this, you might ask? Well... Let’s just say that the only recently ended rock ban gave them a lot of time to work things out.

My headcanon for 1010's whole story from pre-game to post-game

So basically, Neon J created a rock band called Jay first, each member with a distinct face and personality, performing at Akusuka.

But when EDM became much more popular and in demand, he tried to rebrand them. They refused, loyal to rock, so Neon J abandoned them. The band added Ex to their name because of this. Eventually, Sayu replaced them.

First he made Rin, mostly inspired by MJ and other things. Then boy bands became more popular, so he created Zimelu and Eloni, giving them personas of what was popular at the time. Zimelu was the most popular, Rin second, and Eloni actually got fanmail at the time.

Of course, no one knew that their actual personalities were the same so they couldn't rebel like Ex-Jay did, but the official reason Neon J gives to anyone that asked is that it was to let fans come up with their own interpretations. They were also made with the same faces for easier mass production.

The fans either don't notice that or don't care, too caught up in what the fanbase thought their personalities are like.

Then, like a decade later after the last update, he added Purl-Hew and Haym, clearly giving up on actual names. That was when Eloni's fame tanked, and Zimelu's still stayed strong, but now Purl is second, Haym is third and Rin is fourth.

Lastly, after the whole shebang, Neon J decides to give them actual personalities. Of course, that causes them to split to pursue their own interests. The first one to leave was Zimelu, so 1010 immediately dropped in rankings, which caused the whole split.
