I was surprised that they did not reveal MM to be Piemon in the movie. When he mentioned "clowns" I thought it was suppose to be a dead giveaway.
I KNOW RIGHT!!! I was literally sitting at the edge of my seat the entire movie, my heart racing because I was totally expecting for the reveal to happen any second; the clown line, his other fancy comments, his constant giggling, THEN HE SHOWS UP WHERE TAKERU AND HIKARI ARE AND THEN HOLY ANGEMON, THE ONE WHO SEALED PIEMON AWAY, APPEARS---!!!
I still can’t believe they didn’t explain what Mystery Man’s deal was.
A part of me deep inside is still screaming “YOU CAN’T DO THAT TOEI”
But I’m still reserving my anger at this mess until we find out what the new Digimon project is and, possibly, until the end of that project.
Toei can still redeem themselves. There’s still hope.
Unrelated but considdering the sheer amount of build up tri. gave to Mystery Man’s mystery, I wouldn’t be surprised if the writers originally intended to explain his deal but had to cut it out for some reason (like potential sequels like I just speculated in another post)... 'Cause you don’t just build up a character like this and give them that much screentime only to leave us hanging
