Mixtape is asking DJs and producers coming to town, in their opinions, what are the five best songs ever and forever and ever. Or just five songs that are somewhat interesting for some reason. Or six songs. We're easy…
Andy Rourke used to roll thunder for legendary New Romantic sad sacks The Smiths back in the early '80s, and is thus the fingers behind some of the most memorable bass lines of the era. (...) Gotta give it up for a guy who was able to make himself heard over Morrissey's hair.
Interesting reading material there, Andy...

Andy Rourke and Vince Clarke. April, 2014.
From Mad World Book FB "This Sunday (04.04.2014) at Rough Trade in Brooklyn, Vince Clarke passes the Mad World DJ baton to Andy Rourke of the Smiths!".
Andy Rourke and Lori Majewski at the Mad World book launch, April 2014.
A short article about the book launch (attended also by Vince Clark as a DJ): here.
Excerpt from the article:
"On Monday, the 50-year-old Mr. Rourke reflected on his participation in Mad World: "I've done a million interviews in my time," he said. For the book, "I figured I'd make it fun for people and tell a few stories. I've got a big mouth sometimes, pardon the pun." (The Smiths have a song titled "Bigmouth Strikes Again.")
And the really important question: is anyone going to buy/read this book? Let us know if it's any good, OK?
"Projeto Let's Move Retrô Party". Andy Rourke, fans and Morrissey/The Smiths cover band. Interviews in Portuguese (I think).
