but this character is very special to me. She was ‘given’ to these forest spirits as a baby and grew up believing she was one of them even if she could never quite do what they could do. (I put given in quotes because one of these forest spirits convinced this one dude to give her his first born child and he agreed, but I can’t tell you exactly why yet cause ~spoilers~). These forest spirits are pretty much all women/nonbinary so a lot of her views are shaped by strong characters who all have different forms of strength. The story is pretty much about her, learning about where she came from conflict between the two worlds once she’s introduced to the human side (by another character that is introduced near the beginning of the story and who becomes very important later on). 

Her name’s changed a lot over time, but her personality has stayed mostly the same. She’s stubborn and voices her opinions often, even when she knows she’ll get backlash. She finds wonder in simple things, such as the flowers blooming in spring and the sunrises and sunsets. She can be lazy at times, as how people are. She doesn’t like to show down emotions often, but when she does it goes full force, and she finds no shame in it. Sometimes she acts on impulse without thinking of her actions.
