☯ : Do they believe for every darkness there is a lightness? If not, why?

Rolo is a realist, ruthlessly practical and seeking definitive solutions rather than relying on intangible factors like hope.When he found only shadows beyond the Veil, he immediately assumed the missing children were dead. He doesn’t have trouble accepting darkness because he’s lived so much in it.

εжз : What about nature do they find calming? What about nature do they find disagreeable?

The quietness is calming. Rolo used to maintain the school garden with the student council. He went along with it as an obligation to the club, not because he had any interest in gardening. He liked to step away from their chatter and work in silence, sometimes alongside Lelouch, and he preferred it to the noisy school grounds. Nature doesn’t bother him, but neither does he take much notice of it unless he’s being inconvenienced by the weather.

☎ : List three or more people they would call out for during an emergency.

Lelouch. As his brother and the leader of the Black Knights, Lelouch would be the first person Rolo would inform. If necessary, he’d notify Sayoko, Villeta and/or Jeremiah. He’s not close to them, but they’re part of Lelouch’s secret intelligence/operations team of sorts and they work together towards a common goal. As for the PCRP setting, it’s too early to say who he’d call on.

❥ : Describe a verbal way they would express complete trust.

Revealing weakness. Rolo is a private person in general, so to get him to open up especially about his vulnerabilities would take trust.

"Goodbye" ("lmao hes dead what do i do now")

In hindsight, perhaps giving in to one’s vices when there were no precautions in place was an exceedingly bad life choice. Not that there was very much life yet to give.

The evening had been good. It was the sort of thing one never expects to happen: to be greeted by a tall, dark, handsome stranger, to be swept up in alcohol and the velvety voice of another. Carried away to explore each other in passion and ecstasy, not even contemplating the possibility that anything untoward could ever happen beyond awkward morning greetings and never speaking to that person in your life.

He had expected to awaken to the bed and to his lover for the night.

What Nero had instead awoken to was his limbs tied to the wall behind him, the sound of choirs playing on a tinny sounding device (could that be a record player?) and a man sharpening knives, humming along to the tune. But there was no fooling Nero. The broker had sharp eyes, and even fumbling in the dark (for both men could not abide being seen unclothed in the light) he had been able to pick out the musculature along his arms, the sinews on his neck, and the unmistakeable voice now greeting its newfound canvas.

The first cut was the hardest, only because the pain was a shock to the broker’s system. It did not help that the other was now taking advantage of the vulnerabilities and flaws on his body that had been so mercifully shrouded in darkness were now exposed, incorporated into this so-called work of art. Scars and bruising and the hollow ribs of one whose puny, pathetic body did not match the perfect face Nero had bought himself once he could afford it. The other was tracing patterns around him, intricate and delicate things that only cruelly highlighted how inappropriate and ugly Nero felt at having his past exposed to the light.

Would this have happened if he had gone along with his father’s machinations and settled down, been married, continued the family line like a good, industrious boy? If he had continued to let his stepmother use him as some sort of punching bag, some way to vent her frustrations with his line of succession and her inability to bear an heir? He would probably be alive. Unhappy, but alive.

Still, there was a certain… excitement of the whole thing, a quiet reverence in the way that this stranger, this artist, this… lover of sorts was treating him. And there was Chinnamasta’s quiet reassurance, her beautiful philosophy. Only by willingly destroying the self was one made anew, and here Nero was, dying to become art. Body and mind fading, but in exchange he would live on as the masterpiece of a madman. So in his final moments, he smiled, wondering what the goddess would see fit to see him reborn as.

“Thank you, Khada, for your gift to me…”

And that was the end of Nero Severn.

Bull!

“You may be attempting to call bull on this story young lady, but rest assured it is entirely true. In the span of 23 seconds I, along with several other runners, single-handedly crashed the global economy.

You see, I was busy at work collating information and following up with my contacts as per usual, when a tiny notification flashed on my screen. I brought it up, and it informed me that the security at Titan Transnational, the world’s largest bank, was down for only 23 seconds. Now, either I could hesitate and lose a fortune... or I could take a risk. 

Jacking in from the mono-console is an odd thing because suddenly the world becomes bathed in blue. You become, as it were, a part of the slipstream. Your whole world is that server... and the five others who were on it. At that point it became a race to see who could grab as much as we could metaphorically carry. By the end of that heist I was 20 billion credits richer, and due to the ensuing crash probably one of the wealthiest men in the world.”

zzz= What time the character enjoys sleep or being awake

When does Gintoki not like sleep, is the real question. He does enjoy being awake when he has something fun to do, like when he’s living it up and wasting all his money gambling or drinking, but other than that he’s a lazy bum who’d nap on the sofa or somewhere else at every opportunity if he could.

Some days though, when the nightmares get bad, he’d much rather not sleep.

I’d answered this previously, so I’ll add on that Gin quite enjoys the weather towards the end of spring, where its starting to warm up but its still cool enough that you can doze off without even a fan.

± = The character and what they think about math

Please don’t make him do math he’s kind of an idiot. He does well enough with basic calculations and won’t be cheated of his change any time soon, but he doesn’t really care for anything beyond what’s needed to survive. He’s a do more than calculate sorta guy that you’ll sooner find him jumping right to things than calculating the odds first.

(But don’t let that make you think he can’t be scheming sometimes.)

The Star: Someone they consider perfect

Aigis, hands down. He’s had conflict with each of his friends at some time or another, and he wouldn’t say any of them are perfect, even though he loves them dearly. But Aigis… her only fault is that she’s still learning about humanity. She was truly the kindest person he’d ever met, and when he left her, it was with confidence that she had already found a place she belonged.

The Moon: Something they fear

Minato used to fear becoming attached to people, but recently, it is far too late for that fear. Now, he is afraid of being alone again, a fear partially realized by Cataclysm. But he can bear it, knowing that he’s fighting for their sakes, and that they haven’t truly left him, in a cheesy roundabout way.

The Sun: Their happiest memory

If Minato had to pick one specific moment, he would choose the one just before his death. The threat was gone, Nyx sealed and the threat of Shadows taken care of, and he fell asleep to the sound of his friends’ laughter, knowing that they were going to be okay. But he treasures each one of his memories with SEES; the thing that makes that one stand out is that the threat always hanging over them was gone.

(For the character development asks!) 8: Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?

Hardly. One must be able to exercise a little patience because technology and mechanical things only work as quickly as they were made to.

Minato examined the wares at this particular weapons cache, trying to gauge how he should proceed from here. He was used to equipping teams before a dungeon, but here he didn’t have a team - at least not yet. He wasn’t sure if he’d come across any significant dangers before he could pull one together, and he didn’t want to find himself bested with a job yet to be done. He had his sword, but maybe...

The weight of a gun in his hand was not unfamiliar, but the weight of what this gun could do was. His evoker was practically indistinguishable from the pistol, but this was meant for far different things. And besides Aigis, whose weapons didn’t really remind him of this, he’d never seen a gun used in a way that didn’t make him absolutely sick to his stomach. He wanted to push the thing in his hand away and leave, and it was only the thought of the friends he’d already sacrificed himself for once that kept him from doing so.

“What do you think?” he asked the person nearest to him, needing a second opinion. “Worth it?” It didn’t occur to him that they wouldn’t realize what he was asking, what it would cost him to wield it, what he would gain from it. He just needed to think outside of his own head for a moment.

Hakuno can’t explain it, but the girl in front of her reminds her of Rin. Maybe this is why she decided to approach her instead of simply sinking into the crowd mingling in the lounge. 

“Is this seat open?” she asks, gesturing to the chair in front of the girl with one hand. In her other hand is a plate full of various sweets.
