We have already discussed how to use the recoil state management tool in a Nex.js app. It also covers the basics of the Recoil state management library. I strongly recommend referring to the article before continuing. Here we will discuss the steps to use the Recoil state management tool in a Next.js app.
Prerequisites
To follow this article, the reader should be aware of the following…
Fetch or Call API with Change in URL Parameters - Next.js
Fetch or Call API with Change in URL Parameters – Next.js
If we are developing an app using Next JS framework, we may need to fetch data from the backend or make API call with any change in URL parameters. Here we will discuss the steps to solve this use case.
URL parameters are important in the case of sorting, filtering, etc. where the person wants to see the filtered or sorted result when he accesses the URL directly.
Even though Next.js is a React…
A lot of quote generator apps are available online. The aim of this article is to teach beginners in React, the steps to create a simple random quote generator app.
We will use a third-party API that returns a random quote. Our duty is to fetch the API when loading the app, store the quote in state and display this.
A refresh button will call the API again and fetch another quote to…
This cross-platform app converts selected data unit number to all other data units.

We know that a react application is made up of components. The data from a component to another is passed via props. This data flow occurs from the parent to the child in a tree structure. But some of the components in between this data-flow may not require these data. Here the context API will help us to distribute the data to selected components.
The above paragraph may make us a bit confused.…
below the read more is where an example application can be found. in a real acceptance, individual applications will not be posted. i tried my best to explain every section, but if further clarifications are needed, please tell me so i can help!

interpretation
total transparency, there’s no right or wrong answers and i’m not looking for anything in particular. this is to get an overall feel for your character and how they might work within the group both on their own and with the other characters.
minsoo keeps a lot of thoughts to himself. he’s the type of person who prefers being there for others over letting others be there for him.
as much as he liked living alone, he likes living with others better. he didn’t think it could be true, but living there has only improved once his friends moved in.
surprisingly, he’s not worried about his dad finding out about him having roommates. if he gets caught, he’ll deal with it then. until that happens, he’s going to continue to support his friends as much as he can.
he has a temper, but it’s a quiet one. he’s not someone who bursts out in anger, rather he’ll keep it pent up and bubbling deep inside.
he can be “accidentally” inconsiderate at times. for the most part, he tries to keep away from anything someone else brings into the house, but there’s been some late nights where he’s found his way to the fridge and eaten food with someone else’s name on it. by morning, he’ll forget to apologize until someone’s yelling about it and by that point he no longer wants to own up to his inconsideration.
he’s a painter who favors oil paints and impressionism. he spends a lot of time alone in his room, as it takes him a long time to finish even one project.
he has a white and orange cat named clementine, clem for short. he chose the name based on the song “oh my darling, clementine” which his mother used to sing to him as a child. clem’s got full authority to go wherever he wants around the house and he’s warmed up to his new house mates fairly quickly.
adjustments
since i obviously wrote the skeleton for the aesthete, i have no adjustments to make. if you don’t have any adjustments to make either, leave this section blank.
an example has been provided below as a reference.
( if i were applying for the coquette ) in the connection to the performer, it’s mentioned that they don’t typically have one night stands, but that’s not the case. they have frequent one night stands and don’t think much of it.
writing sample
the sun had been warming his bedroom for hours, but minsoo preferred natural light over artificial so much that he’d rather have a warm room over a drab one. clem was faithfully nearby on the floor, with his limbs outstretched as he soaked up every bit of sun. it was an unusually quiet day around the house. minsoo hadn’t heard anything from beyond his door in a while, which was unusual.
letting curiosity get the best of him now that he noticed the silence, he set down his paint palette with care on the small drawer that lived next to his easel. as he abandoned the room, clem lazily looked at him from across their shoulder, blinking as though he were betrayed. while walking toward the kitchen, minsoo started to take note of who was home. as he expected, no one was.
ever since the house started getting more full, the quiet moments alone became more noticeable to him. even if he isn’t around the others while they are home, he likes being able to hear indistinct conversations and shuffling about. it’s become so comforting to minsoo that he noticed it to begin with. since he was already away from his room, he decided to check out what was inside the fridge.
he was greeted by containers and condiments claimed by sticky notes and tape with names written on it, but that didn’t stop him from poking around. minsoo rarely cooked, so he already knew that there weren’t any leftovers for him with his name on it. despite knowing he was alone, he stole another glance around the room before committing his crime: stealing leftovers with the magnet’s name.

Biography
Born into one of Britain’s most elite families, the Bardens have a long history dominating the social hierarchies of the country. Their fathers are important members of parliament within the House of Lords. Their mothers are socialites and breeders. Their sons and daughters attend the same institutions as the Royal family. As such, the Bardens have long since been privy to one of the most secret of societies within the British upper crust. They have had access to the device since the turn of the 20th century. Thus strict expectations are handed down from generation to generation, and Augustus Barden has never been able to exceed them.
Their male offspring are to be strapping young lads, sports stars with the finest conquests, studious, outgoing, charming, confident, politically minded and driven. Whereas Augustus proved to be clumsy, unable to work a cricket or croquet bat, nevermind ride a horse or dominate the opposite sex. For one he was never interested in girls… and at the sight of a handsome boy the term awkward could never quite cut it.
Thankfully his one redeeming quality was his mind. On paper, Augustus excelled in all of his classes. Which, to their credit his parents did attempt to focus on. Their son was smarter than any other, and as such when he turned thirteen he was granted access to the blue box - the magical shifter device. It was shortly thereafter this decision began to be questioned. Augustus’s obsession with arachnids of all types began to repulse those around him. His antics became a source of great embarrassment for his family, and subsequently he was known as the laughing stock of the elite. Augustus found himself attending fewer and fewer events with the Bardens, causing him to grow further enraptured with the creatures so very many disliked.
Augustus’s dream was to attend Strange University, as it was most British supernaturals. To graduate from Strange was something to be proud of, and he hoped to also mingle with those outside of the stuffy, confidence stomping shifter society. So when the bombshell hit - his parents were not allowing him to enroll, he was left more devastated than ever. It seemed he’d caused them one embarrassment too many, and they were sending him to Salem College in the United States instead. It took weeks for Augustus to overcome the latest barrage to his self-esteem, but he packed and decided to make the best of it.
The upside was - nobody knew him in Salem. He wasn’t the reputed runt, or “spider-boy.” Perhaps he actually had a chance to fit in and make friends… a fresh start.
Not to mention a whole new host of arachnid species just waiting for him.
Para Sample
The world blurred. “Augustus?” The front door closed with a slam, foyer practically a carousel. A ride he’d not bargained for. “Augustus? Is that you?” a shrill voice, inflections high and despite the throbbing wound upon his wrist and the way his heart was pounding so loudly it almost drowned out anything else. He knew his mother’s nose was crinkled already. “Yes, mother…” he wheezed. A wave of muttering and an offshoot of laughter was heard as Auggie stumbled, hand to the staircase in order to brace himself. No doubt the family had guests as they often did, and as per usual he’d not been privy to the little get together. For a society so obsessed with togetherness and secrecy, they did a fine job of excluding one of their own.
What had he done wrong? Which one had bitten him? The latter he realized now as the more dire of questions. Soaked from head to toe in a cold, shivering sweat he attempted to release his iPhone from his fitted pants. The butler, Henry, stopped short upon seeing the sight of the young Master Augustus. “What on this very earth… Master Augustus?”
Procuring his phone had become the most difficult feat in the world, something the arachnophile attributed to muscle weakness and loss of coordination.
“Would you be a chap, Henry and call an ambulance… I think I, I… I think I…”
A woman’s appearance in the doorway to the dining room saw a horrified expression. “Augustus what nonsense have you —,”
A wave of laughter erupted from the dining room at the sight of him, his brothers, cousins and the children of family friends. “Spider boy’s been at it again mother look!” one cackled.
“Augustus, how many times!” his mother seethed, taking a step toward him to grab him by the wrists, turning them over to observe any injury. He was always finding some exotic and poisonous spider to absorb code…
“Sorry, mother I…” he stopped suddenly, before retching all down the front of her dress. His mother screamed. More laughter erupted…and as the world went dark the sound of his father’s voice could only faintly be heard. “Auggie! Auggie!”
When eyes finally opened, the faint beeping of a heart monitor met his ears. That and the flapping of newspaper, soon discerned to be his grandfather sifting through the Telegraph. “Oh, the little tyke’s awake is he?” the elderly man observed through pursed lips. His father approached the bed, mother merely shifting in her seat nearby.
“Red…back…” he murmured.
“Oh for god’s sake,” snipped his mother.
“Alexandra,” his father said sharply, casting her a glare that was then afforded to Auggie.
“Yes, Redback, the godforsaken spider that bit you, Augustus.”
“Redback…” he smiled. He’d gotten the code.
“This has to stop!” Alexandra erupted.
“I was just… “
“Getting code! We know!”
“How else am I…”
“You simply don’t, Augustus,” his father chimed. “It’s far too dangerous.”
“Deadly Australian spider kills father of four in Berkshire,” his grandfather chimed in still nose deep in his newspaper. “Now in London exhibit…and our little lad thinks it’s a wonderful idea to stick his hand into the tank.”
“Not to mention illegal!” his mother snapped. “The police are outside. You were caught on camera breaking into the exhibit. For god’s sake, Augustus. When will you start acting like a Barden?!”
His crestfallen look inspired a barrage of daggers from his mother’s eyes.
“Get some sleep,” his father encouraged, as the family rose to take their leave.
“But what about the poli–”
“We’ll deal with them. Just stay in bed and for heaven’s sake, rest.”
His grandfather placed the Telegraph on the table beside the bed, and a quick glance at the date had him sitting up.
“Wait! Mother!” he called, her being the last one to exit. She turned, brows risen.
“It’s… Strange’s induction is tomorrow. I need to get out of—”
“You’re not going anywhere, Augustus. Least of all Strange University.”
“But…”
“We’ve already informed them you’ll not be attending. We’ll discuss this further when you’re out of the hospital. So for once in your life do as your told.”
And with that, Auggie was left alone…staring up at the ceiling, feeling the familiar rise of anxiety creep up his spine and pool into his belly. Eyes grew damp, and he was left feeling as if he might as well shift into the redback and never turn back.
Why not? He was already a loathed and avoided creature.

IC Information for a Skeleton Player
Name: Will Davidson
Gender: Cis Male
Team: Montrose Magpies
Position: Beater
Age: 25
Faceclaim: John Boyega
Headcanons:
Will tried out for the Magpies three times before making the team: during his Seventh Year at Hogwarts, immediately after graduating over the summer, and in the spring of his first year out of school. He made the reserve team first, and made the main string two years later at 21.
Will started Hogwarts a year late, and therefore finished when he was 18 rather than when he was 17 like the rest of the other Seventh Year students he knew. He barely made it through his NEWTs either, scraping through with a handful of A’s in the end.
Will has never had a backup plan. Quidditch was his be-all end-all, and he has no idea what he would have done if he hadn’t made it onto the team when he did. His only hope was to marry rich, really, and he probably wouldn’t have managed that without Quidditch.
Will is a half-blood, with a Wizard father and a Muggle mother. He was raised, however, in the Muggle world primarily. His father wanted nothing to do with him from a young age, and only gifted him his school books every year to ensure a child with his last name didn’t look poor.
Will was a Gryffindor in school. He’s extremely loyal to those that he graces with his loyalty, to a fault even, but it’s very hard to come by. He doesn’t especially like other people, and he’s never made any attempt at hiding that from his peers either. It makes people question his sorting a lot.
Will is best described as simple as far as his intelligence is concerned. He’s not great at anything academic, and it’s easy to fool him into believing something if you word your statement correctly. He covers that as best he can in brute strength and anger when he’s tricked.
Will is an only child, on his mother’s side, and has two sisters on his father’s side that he never interacts with. Because his father wanted nothing to do with him, he never had the opportunity to spend much time around either of them, and by the time they were school aged, he didn’t want to.
Will is aware that amortentia smells like flowers, expensive red wine, and a breeze off the water for him. He discovered it during his sixth year when a friend of his brewed the potion for one of his classes, and brushed it off until he could finally place each of the different smells in one person.
Will is an especially aggressive Beater. This aggression is directed not only at his opponents, but sometimes at his teammates if the situation calls for it and they’ve pushed a button too many. He’s never caused a career-ending injury, though, much though the press likes to claim he will soon.
Will only owned his first broom because the Captain of his Hogwarts team bought it for him in between his third and fourth year. His second broom was also a gift from that same friend for making a professional team. Now, he owns a Nimbus 2016, the first broom he’s purchased on his own.
