No wonder why his teacher saw in him the potential to carry on her legacy. His voice is soft, and warm, and enchanting (even without the help of actual enchantments). There’s a disconnection between the sweetness of the melody, and the mournful, grim story the song tells — a lost love, a fall from grace, and ultimately a loss of self.

The bard hums the last notes of it, and extends his hand forwards... and shuts the half-elf’s mouth close.

Port Demali was a pretty nice place. People here were laid back enough about the tieflings looks to not double take while passing them on the streets, and the money flowed easily. Lots of people with money to spend and no real care where as long as they had ale.

Sitting on top of the roof of the inn their temporary troupe was staying at, they strummed her harp idly, no real rhyme or reason, mostly tuning actually. It must have been the early morning, as the sky started to become warm and lively with colour.

Hearing footsteps on the shingles, they didn't whip their head around to see who it was immediately. Just one quick glance. “Fair warning, I'm up here too.” they state. “’Have ale and am willing to share, if you care to stick around.”

He let out a small little sigh at Fjord’s declaration, as he wrestled with his response in his mind. “I am fine with the unknown, I will be fine.” He said that stubbornness, that slight selfishness coming in. He was falling back into old habits. “It is not a battle you need to risk yourself for.”

Honi;

“I love your hair.” Comes a voice from around his knees, the dark skinned gnome greets his gaze with a bright smile.  Honi wears chain with leather plate over the important parts of herself - purple eyes glittering with excitement, her hair braided and tied into a heavy bun on the top of her head. Though despite her small stature, secured to her back was a hammer that seemed almost to big for her - another smaller one on her hip, a dagger on the opposite. 

“I hate to ask - I can’t quite reach that.” Honi says, pointing to a shelf way above her reach; it was just a bundle of incense.

“I came to see my brother, nothing more. I’m not here to pick a fight.” Not that he has a saying in the matter. He keeps his head low, avoiding eye contact. Shame. That is what he feels, on top of everything else. “I will leave soon, and bother you no longer.”

She was dressed like any lady of court, but unlike most - the dress she wore was a blue like the midnight sky; with thin gossamer laid over the silk that looked like shimmering scales. The mask that covers her face is like the wings of a butterfly, but in bright sunset contrast - elements of spring contradict the elements of winter she wears on her dress. Her hands mirrored this, one glove matched her mask, greens and colors of fire, while the other was paler blues and white.

“Masquerades are always so interesting, wouldn’t you agree?”
