When this dropped online, there was definitely a bit of hype surrounding this relatively unknown guy nicknamed 'Fat Mike'. He definitely had an aura around him cause of his showing at the now defunct Metro Jams.
Back then there wasn't web presence really, the only way to come up was through competition placing, knowing someone who already came up, or sending demo tapes(which I'm not sure if people still do that). 'Fat Mike' sort of already made a small name for himself by being the guy who did the huge gap to hangover as seen here and doing a wild 3 over the barrier at Metro.
Then this demo tape dropped online and for the first time the world got a peek at this guy. First of all, he wasn't fat, second this kid has got something, not sure what but something. There were lines done real clean but nothing to outrageous technical wise but he seemed to be able to go big. If you haven't figured out by now this is Mike Hoder's first viewing, and it was a cult web hit when it came out. It would not be until a few years later where Mike would develop his style into what we all know today but at this moment in time we got our glimpse of what he was capable of.
