@excelsioryuken likes to box. This is my first attempt at digital painting, A to Z. Suddenly having to handle both anatomy and color has dramatically increased my respect for those who do both. “Shoulders of giants” and so on.

Since that sketch of Pat’s Stand was recived pretty well, I was inspired to make (@excelsioryuken) Woolie‘s Stand too

Hower I didn’t know what people’s general agreement on his Stand was, so I just choose what I thought would fit him better…

『The Legend Of Wooley Swamp』

the Stand being covered by swamp in that pose with the leaking bottomless barrel on their back is meant to mimic Gaara from the Naruto series

the headband is also from that series, but with the ReBoot symbol as often depicted in fanart

that filthy bottomless barrel containing an endless swamp is the one responsible for all the Saturday Morning Scrublords games

the crosses have primarily 2 meanings:

referencing Woolie getting “pinned down” by religion and his “Pastor Madden” form in one of the Shitstorm intros

referencing the people dying in the song, 3 small ones for the brothers and a big one for the old man

the plants serve to not confuse the swamp with… something else…

the pie and skateboard are self explanatory

Also the Stand’s power is that it basically works as an infinite storage that slowly corrupts everything that enters it, for example:

good fighting games turn into bad ones/rip-offs, cool toys/action figures turn into Funko Pops, ect…

05/?? of the Grand Wizard Wakka saga. Still haven’t gotten a consistent style down yet but I believe I have improved since the last four entries. Also downgraded to using A4 with 0.05-0.8 pens compared to A3 with thicker pens. I’ll be honest, I’m kinda nervous continuing this thing considering the very real shit going down in America at the moment. The KKK, neo nazis and pro-trump supporters. These comic panels didn’t resonate NEARLY as hard before as it does now, but hopefully people realize this for what it is. This is satire, pushing the inherent racism that the FFX character Wakka has for the Al-Bhed to the extreme for... funsies? Ah well eventually Wakka will learn his ways are wrong. I designed a character solely with Woolie’s ( @excelsioryuken ) aesthetic in mind.

Third and final(?) stand is for Woolz, and like the others, was sketched ages ago but only coloured recently. Also originally it was just a lazy illustration of the glove and boot but I drew a Madden for an illustrated comparison of it’s effects.

「SPEEDOM」 is a wearable stand with an emphasis on do combo. While the stand relies on the initial strength of it’s user, it’s ability to enhance the natural reactions of the stand user and unlock their skill limiters grants them the upper-edge against lightly armored enemies. The secondary ability that 「Speedom」 has is only granted after the stand user continues a string of continuous attacks, and that’s the red corporeal light trails that extend from the stand’s ‘exhausts‘. These trails can grow up to 15m in length and can last until the fight ends. While active, the stand user can use these as whips to masterly lasso enemies, attack blindly from around a corner or even grapple and swing (remember, 「Speedom」 grants unlocked skill limiters).

The only real downsides of this stand, apart from the lack of extra defence that other wearable stands give, are dependent on it’s user. It’s utterly useless useless useless if the stand user is unable to move due to any number of reasons.

Alright, so that’s the last of the three. I had fun coming back to them, although I had to make up an ability for this one a week ago because I never thought it out before. Time to not choke, and get to work on Wakka.
