another event at the country club reid found himself dragged along to— this one had something to do with some charity aimed at squashing childhood hunger. ironically enough, reid was pretty certain the amount of fancy hors d'oeuvres being carried around on platters by sharply dressed waiters could end childhood hunger, had the rich snobs donated them to a soup kitchen. that’s one of the things he couldn’t stand about wealthy folks, they'd rather just throw a couple hundred dollars at some mismanaged charity than do any actual work to make the world a better place. he’d wandered out of the banquet hall after the third round of champagne, instead choosing to poke his head around where he shouldn’t be. out in the fresh air, he pulled a pack of cigarettes from his pocket before he noticed somebody at the tennis courts. after lighting up, he strolled over to check it out. lo and behold, he wasn’t the only one misbehaving at the uptight function, as he came across a girl he recognized as one of his step-mom’s friend’s daughter engaging in less than ladylike behavior. “well, well, well...” he spoke up to break the silence, no doubt startling the girl who hadn’t yet noticed his presence. “if it isn’t miss goody goody herself. funny meeting you here... thought you would’ve been in there kissing ass like always. guess you can’t judge a book by their cover, huh?”

          of fucking course it had snowed. she should have brought a jacket whether she thought it was going to snow or not, but she did not see the break up coming. returning to their apartment was the last thing she wanted to do, but she couldn’t get out the building and she at least wanted to be warm. hand raised, knuckles knocking against the door and just hoping the other didn’t turn her away. “ hey! hey! we’re snowed in. ”

OH GOD  —  she was waking up  &  angel had just been admiring her sleeping face; quick to scramble out the bed that wasn’t his own.  clearing his throat, male grabbed his boxer briefs off the floor and slowly started to put them on;  trying to play it cool as if he wasn’t just gawking at her.  ❛  d’you know you snore ?  kinda makes it hard to sleep.  ❜  &  he was lying,  keeping his eyes fixed on her before he averted them to look for his pants.  maybe it was because he had so much fun with her that he was feeling irregular,  but angel would’ve usually been gone by now.  however,  a part of him wanted to spend more time with her.  ❛  man,  i’m starving.  ❜  it was subtle;  not directly asking if she wanted breakfast and leaving it open to see if she would take the bait.

There was a mischievous chuckle that escaped the male as he stalked the other through the house. The blade in his hand dragged along the wall leaving a trail along the paint. “Come out, come out, wherever you are.” He spoke out, voice being distorted by the machine under the mask. “You can’t hide forever, I will find you.” And with that he pressed the call button on the phone held by his other hand, waiting to hear the ringtone.

this tiny chuckle slipping out of her lips as she's looking over at him , wanting to shake her head . of course , thea's trying her best . she's -- hoping that she's good enough to be part of the other's life , it seems . nonetheless , thea's not wanting to say anything pertaining to most things . she's letting out this shaky sigh , content as ever before she's speaking . fingers fiddling with each other before she even says something to him . anything , really . " you know , dylan . you're very humorous , even when you don't think you are . " thea's not known to love , but she's also not unknown to love . of course , with her relationship that concerns her brother , she's not one to be open with that . he's the one that taught her that love comes with a price , speaking from the one who developed this need to hurt people . though , back to thea : all of this was making her feel . . weird , nervous , anything that didn't spell out affection . " i don't think love should ever be in someone's life . not because it's a bad thing -- but because of the . . issues that come along with it . "
