in what I can only refer to as a miraculous event, this evening, after having spent the morning getting pretty wound up about what my financial situation is looking like at present + for the next few months due to a number of major life events happening concurrently, I discovered a celebratory card in a drawer of my desk that contained upwards of $700 in cash?

#mellie memos#so here’s the thing#i can picture you asking me#‘mellie how the fuck did you not know you had $700+ in a card in your desk’#and i’m going to be so real#i think that money was from when i graduated law school and a number of family members decided to give me money#which they didn’t have to do!! and i wasn’t expecting!!#but i think i consolidated it all into this card and then traveled home with it#then put the card in my desk thinking i would get around to dealing with it (read: depositing it) when i wasn’t caught up in bar prep#except!!#i forgot!!#i cannot tell you how long the pause was when i opened that card and saw cash#i really was like#…is that real…#and to think that i found it because im moving and am going through/packing all of my shit#simply perfect#i said ‘that’s rainy day money’ and my life schedule said ‘hey do you want a rainy day??’#insane actually#anyway aside from playing the lottery#if y’all have any other divine intervention inspired things i should do this week lmk
