the thing about the insulindian phasmid. is that you spend the entire game chasing after harry's whims and this one is SO out there and SO easily missed that you're just like... ok sure this is nice world building and flavor text
and then you go to the island and you have a nightmare and you meet the deserter and everything feels so hopeless and dark and you barely even know why you're playing anymore
and then out of the reeds steps a creature YOU AS THE PLAYER were too skeptic to believe is real. and it tells you the world is dying and that you cannot stay close to it but most importantly it tells you it loves you anyway
and it's just like. god this is the central thesis of the game really. and the phasmid made me as a player experience it in a way no other part of the game did because I DID NOT THINK IT WAS REAL!!! but if you are curious and open even a dying world can be full of love and wonder
