cause I feel like he needs to be there, but the specific how of the situation is tripping me up, because their emotions are complicated about each other, but not necessarily tied to regret at all.

Possibly she regrets letting him down, re: the Antaam thing that got her sent away with Varric. Cause that has an easy work around because she knows she did what was right, even tho she does regret letting him down, even if she's angry about being sent away
