Mizi is haunted by her past, and she does not want to let go
The new Alien Stage song got released, an it's 'Witch' by Mizi.
And honestly? It's amazing. The beat is unlike anything Mizi usually sing, which sound more smooth, and 'pretty'.
This song shows the most raw and desperate part of Mizi, with the vocals reflecting that. The voice that Mizi has here could be described as almost insane. As though she is stuck in her own mind, trying to come up with a fantasy that she can stay in. That's how she sounds like a 'witch', becayse she feels distant from humans and aliens. She's literally alienated herself from reality here, staying stuck in the past and unwilling to move past it.
If we look at the introduction to the song;
Look ahead

Shes suffering
It seems like Mizi is imitating the appearance of Sua. And in her own suffering, she sees the image of Sua in the mirror also suffering. Maybe due to her clinging tightly, or maybe due to the burns that she has endured.
In this cruel place,
I can’t leave you.
With a tight embrace,
I want to leave
She seems to recognise the pain she is causing herself and just how cruel of an existence she is living.
But because she finds Sua in this place, finally able to be alone with just her, she does not wish to leave. She would only leave if it means she gets to stay with Sua.

Let me take you,
and I just want you to be my side.
Mizi very clearly clings to the memories of Sua, fantasizing about dancing with her. She seems to worship her very presence, and finds joy in just being by her side. She does not want to let go of her ghost, inviting her to let it be just the two of them.
The vocals here made me imagine Mizi with a smile that is genuine but with eyes that are hollow, if that makes sense. At this point, it feels like she is slipping furthur and furthur into her fantasy.

I would describe this as toxic positivity, but it feels somehow much worse than that. Mizi remembers the past, but she is also pushing herself to just forget about all the bad things.
She is pulling along her ghost of Sua to live in a fantasy where it is just the two of them, existing in paradise. This was a luxury they were never afforded, always being watched or judged by others. She wants to be alone with Sua, and that's her ultimate fantasy.

Anyway, Mizi makes it clear that she would have loved to just sing a normal duet with Sua. One with just the two of them, with no audience to listen.
She imagines it would feel like the few times that Sua and her were actually alone, (most likely only during the night), and continues to build her fantasy upon that.
Can't wash the bloods out of my hands
No one can do it,
no forgiveness...
But can't you grant... last wish from me?
Mizi acknowledges the role she played in how she hurt people. Some of it may be her fault, while others aren't. She can not draw the clear lone between them.
But her survivor's guilt refuses to let her forgive herself, and move on. She only see's her hands that are stained with blood when she sees reality. It is something she wants to avoid.
So she again turns back to Sua's ghost of memory, and asks her for a dance as a last wish. To be dragged away into the fantasy she has kept building for herself in her own mind.
My heart, after turning the clock back to those times
Holding you at that place,
watch your step,

She will keep going back to the past, pretending that she is still in the days where she still had Sua within her embrace. She dances with her again and again, leading her memory away from the gruesome reality.
Loved by everyone?
Even god makes mistakes...

Mizi was someone who was loved by everyone, for better or for worst. It was because people saw perfection in her, something that was ideal and untainted.
She knows that isn't true though, because she knows her own flaws. She knows her own act, and the mask she wears at times. She is loved by everyone, and it came at a cost which she pretended to be oblivious to. She might even consider her own existance to be a mistake at this point.
She is grateful that she was able to meet Sua though. Even though their story may have been a tragic one. She wants to remember it, even though it means falling furthur away from reality.
She mentions red anemones blooming on their path, which are the flowers that we know were used to spy on the children in Anakt garden. But it represents much more than that. The flowers themselves symbolise forsaken love in the Victorian language, while the japanese thought it to be an omen of ill tidings.
Strangely enough, the origin of the name was from the greek legend involving Aphrodite and her lover Adonis. She shed tears at his death, which mixed with his blood to create this flower. It's a strange parallel to Mizi and Sua.
At this point, Mizi sounds less insane, and more in pain. Her voice is trembling and she is struggling to sing the tune clearly. But it switches right back to the fantasy-induced insanity tone when we go back to the main chorus again.
This is a song that is meant to showcase how deeply Mizi is avoiding her past while also staying atuck in it at the same time. She is haunted by her mistakes, while fantasizing about what could have been.
