Hi! I’m glad you’re back! I was wondering if I could request excerpts from When We Live and/or As You Need Me? Thank you so much!
Absolutely! :)
When We Live:
“I don’t want to wait anymore, George.”
Slowly, as if trying to give himself more time to think about what you had said to him, your boyfriend turned his head towards you, quill still in hand, poised to write on the herbology homework in front of him.
“Don’t want to wait for what, love?” He asked calmly, looking deep into your eyes as if searching for the answer there, his head tilted ever so slightly to convey his interest in what you had to say.
“To live.” You let out a sigh after speaking, clasping your hands together beneath your waist and looking down at them intently as if asking your fingers for advice on what to say next. They had nothing to say to you. “I don’t want to wait to live anymore. I want all of this limbo to be over. I want to live.”
As You Need Me:
This day of the year was never an easy day for George, in fact, it was never really an easy day for any member of the Weasley family. Five years ago on this very day, Frederick Gideon Weasley went to fight in a war that he would not survive, leaving his friends and family to mourn him for years to come. Everybody who knew Fred took the news of his death hard, but no one took it harder than George. It had taken you six months to get him to leave the room he had once shared with his brother, and another year after that for you to get him to open his shop again. And even now, five years later, there were still many things that George needed to work on in order to truly feel whole again. But there isn’t a person out there who wouldn’t say that he was doing much better than before. All week you had been preparing for this day, for how hard it would be on your boyfriend, and how hard it would be for his family (whom the two of you were planning on visiting for lunch later on in the day) as well. You had expected it would take a great deal of effort to get George out of bed, and even more to get him to actually get ready for his day. But to your surprise when you woke up you were alone in bed.
