what’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

it was early on in i think it was like maybe a week into serious dating when my bf said "you can just like, do whatever you want. like you dont have to talk to people you dont like or have a job that sucks you can just do what you want" and since then i have learned i literally can do whatever i want

what is a skill or talent you’ve completely lost or overlooked? why did that happen?

i used to be really musically talented i could sing and play bass but my dad wanted me to be a musician bc he failed as one and i learned to hate it. im too nervous now to even try again cause like, im with someone who is one of the most talented and intelligent musicians ive ever known yk
