#excusemymuse there is a common deception we share...we think that we are frightened by mystery, afraid of what we can't 'know', quantify or qualify...when in actuality, we are haunted by history...hunted by what has been.

#excusemymuse I have discovered that wonder can be found in the plain and normal (and thus incredible) realities of life. if we are aware, wonder can be found most often in the miracle that is the ‘common thing’. the breathing, the living, the eating, the loving, the walking, the seeing, the quiet moments with those we love, the painful moments in the darkness of our dungeons... all of these...they ache, they sigh, and they whisper sacred songs under the weight of His glory.
#excusemymuse this post popped up in my memories feed. what a glorious reminder of the beauty of the journey: {My view for most of this day. A day to recover and a day to remember. It is a day of tears. What is interesting is how uncomfortable most are with them. 'It's ok!' 'Don't worry!' 'Keep praying!' they say. But what I have come to know is that tears summon the King of heaven. They are the expression of wonder, of longing, of truth and of hope...even when they are born in pain. For now, I give them freely. And wait with expectation for the day when He will dry every tear from my eyes. Grieve not for eyes that give tears, but rather for those who have not known love and life enough to shed them.}
